Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of StoreMitr — the shop operations platform at storemitr.shop and related services.

Effective 10 September 2026

1. Who we are

StoreMitr is a software service that helps Indian retail businesses run inventory, sales, team access, customers, and related shop operations.

Questions about these Terms: support@storemitr.com.

2. Accounts and roles

Only an Owner may self-register a business. Managers and Cashiers join by invite from the Owner.

You must provide accurate business and contact information during onboarding, keep credentials secure, and ensure people you invite use the product lawfully.

You are responsible for activity under your business account, including actions by Managers and Cashiers you authorize.

3. The service

StoreMitr provides tools to record sales, manage stock, send invoices (including via WhatsApp where configured), manage customers/Khata, and manage subscription plans for your business.

StoreMitr is not a bank, UPI app, or payment gateway for your shop customers. When you record cash, UPI, card, or credit at the counter, money settles in your own bank/UPI — we store the record, not the customer payment.

We may improve, change, or discontinue features with reasonable notice when practical. Trial and plan limits (Stores, WhatsApp volume, and similar caps) apply as shown in the product.

4. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no unlawful goods/services tracking intended to evade law, no scraping or attacking our systems, no sharing login credentials broadly, and no uploading malware or infringing content.

You must comply with applicable Indian law, including tax and consumer rules for your own retail operations. GST reporting remains your responsibility; CSV/export features are aids, not filing services.

5. Subscriptions and fees

Paid plans (Growth, Scale, and others we publish) are monthly subscriptions that unlock higher caps such as more Stores. Pricing is shown in the product before you subscribe.

Payments are processed by Razorpay. Card/UPI details are handled by the processor — not stored as full card numbers on StoreMitr servers.

Refunds and cancellations are described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

6. Data and privacy

How we collect and use personal and business data is described in our Privacy Policy. By creating an account or using the service, you also agree to that policy.

7. Availability and disclaimers

We aim for reliable uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, outages at cloud providers, WhatsApp/Meta, SMS, or payment processors may affect features.

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that it will meet every operational need of your shop without configuration and training.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted under Indian law, StoreMitr and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including lost profits, lost stock records after your own deletion, or business interruption) arising from use of the service.

Our aggregate liability for a claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us for the StoreMitr subscription in the three months before the claim, except where liability cannot be limited by law.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment, abuse, legal risk, or prolonged inactivity, after notice where reasonable.

You may stop using the service anytime. Owner account deletion, when offered in-product, may include a hold period before permanent removal.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
