Clothing store billing software for busy showrooms and growing shops

A clothing shop’s challenge is not the bill — it is the stock behind it. The same shirt exists in four sizes and three colours, some of it sells out in a week and some sits for a season, and once you open a second showroom you lose sight of what is where.

Store Mitr helps a garment shop see what is selling, keep each counter’s sales separate, and manage more than one showroom from a single owner account.

Sizes and colours as their own items

The simplest way to track apparel is one product per size and colour — “Blue check shirt M” and “Blue check shirt L” each with their own stock count, price and, if you use them, their own barcode. Each one gets its own low-stock level, so you notice the size that runs out first instead of seeing a healthy total for a shirt nobody can buy in their size.

Items without printed barcodes are fine too: add them with a fixed price and find them by name at the counter.

Knowing what actually sells

The Reports section shows sales by period, top products, and the mix of payment methods, so a slow week or a strong festival weekend is visible in numbers rather than guesses. Inventory value shows how much money is sitting on your shelves, which is the number that matters when deciding what to reorder and what to mark down.

Several people at the counter

On a Saturday you may have three staff billing. Invite each one as a Cashier by email; each Cashier sees only their own sales, and your cost price stays hidden from them. Reports include sales by cashier, so you can see who handled what. The Owner can also step in to bill by acting as a Cashier, and the activity log records who really did each action.

More than one showroom

Add each showroom as a Store. Stock, sales, customers and day closing are kept separate per Store, so one showroom’s numbers never mix into another’s, and you switch between them from the Store switcher. As the Owner you also get a combined view across all Stores on Home and in Reports, including which showrooms have closed the day.

Staff are assigned to specific Stores, so your Kolkata showroom’s cashier cannot see the Patna showroom’s data.

Regular customers and festival credit

Add your regular customers with their phone number to build their purchase history, and use Khata with a credit limit for the customers you extend credit to before a wedding or festival season. Invoices reach the customer on WhatsApp the moment you confirm the sale.

What Store Mitr does not do (yet)

So you can decide with the full picture:

  • Store Mitr does not have a size-and-colour variant matrix yet — each size and colour is its own product, as described above.
  • Customer returns and exchanges do not have a dedicated flow yet.
  • Moving stock between showrooms is not supported in the app today.

Common questions

How do I manage sizes and colours in Store Mitr?

Add each size and colour as its own product with its own stock and low-stock level. There is no variant matrix yet, but this keeps every combination’s stock accurate.

Can I run more than one clothing showroom on one account?

Yes. The Owner adds each showroom as a Store, up to the limit of the plan, with separate stock, sales and day closing per Store and a combined view for the Owner.

Can I see which of my staff made which sales?

Yes. Each Cashier has their own login, sees only their own sales, and the Reports section includes sales by cashier.
